Leadership
ENERMO is an independent advisory firm founded by Mo Hassan, who has spent 25 years on the decisions that determine whether major energy projects proceed. His career began in structural engineering on offshore platforms, process plants and pipeline complexes for energy majors, followed by independent technical assurance on major offshore projects.
Over the last decade he has worked on the economic regulation and investment decisions behind major UK energy assets, at the energy regulator and then in central government. There he built and led a multidisciplinary team of more than forty engineering, commercial and risk specialists, and wrote the assessment methodology that remains the department’s standard. That experience gives ENERMO first-hand knowledge of how government, regulators and investors weigh cost and risk before they commit.
